Abstract
Over the past years, various attempts have been made by government to stop excessive migration of Nigerians to other countries, in search of greener pastures. Unfortunately, nothing seems to materialize, and Nigerians are still leaving the shores of the country. In view of this, this study hopes to provide its readers with the necessary information needed to understand the social and economic problems migration has on the country, in addition, the study hopes to be useful to the government and public policy makers so as to seek out best measures to tackle political corruption and unemployment, which are reasons why Nigerians leave the country, in most cases permanently, in search of better jobs, and living conditions. It is hoped that the study will be useful for future researchers in the area of discourse.
