Women In Syrian Armed Conflict– A Bastion Or Blemish

Abstract

Modern day conflicts have brought to fore stories of suffering and hardship of human beings along with the destruction and devastation of the state, which takes a long time to recoup. The conflict underway in Syria is in its ninth year which rose from a mere uprising to a full-fledged armed conflict with varied parties including both state and non-state actors. In the prime of the ongoing conflicts,women are forced to take up new roles and responsibilities as a result of the gendered impact of war.
