Abstract
Early Sikh literature consists of the Bani, recorded in Guru Granth Sahib, Varan Bhai Gurdas, Janamsakhi and Gurbilas literature. In this paper, I have taken up the analysis of Varan Bhai Gurdas. Bhai Gurdas was the first Sikh scholar who explained the original teachings of the Sikh Gurus to the common people in simple language. He present extraordinary explanation of the ideology of the first five Sikh Gurus compositions.
