Abstract

The lives of Children in armed conflict nations are characterised by hardships with a bleak outlook for their future. Children living in these regions have been the victims of widespread conflict, deprived of their right to education, access to skills and knowledge and the route to a better life for themselves and their country.The present study is descriptive in nature. In the present investigation researcher reviewed recent related literature & secondary data in an extensive manner in the form of books, e-books, journals, editorials and other reliable sources, which provided greater insight into all possible practical aspects of the research problem. The investigation reveals that conflict has affected both children and their right to education. The severity of violations against education incorporatesrecruitment to armed groups/forces, school attendance, school closure and reduction in schooling capacity. In addition to that, appalling levels of massacring, mutilating, recruitment and denial of humanitarian access, committing rape and other forms of sexual violence; engaging in attacks on schools; and abducting children in situations of armed conflict came under the domain of violations against children.
