Abstract

Outshoppers are none but floating customers. If the In-Town shoppers are called the capital of the business, the Outshoppers can be called the interest that the capital brings.


            In market language rural consumers, i.e. those who come from rural parts to make buying in urban are called the rural Outshoppers. Therefore it is essential for shopkeepers to find attitude, preference, trend and style of rural Outshoppers. Moreover Rural Consumer Preference, perception and behaviour of buying clothing & apparels frequently change due to fashion trends, impact of movies, friends, relatives and migrants from one place to another. Attitude, cultural and socio-economic changes depend upon where consumer locates. The studies related the role and contribution of rural Outshoppers in urban showrooms is very limited in India. So it is very essential to study about out shopping behavior of rural masses towards apparel in Coimbatore.
