Abstract
The most essential element for a country to be competitive in the world is to develop innovative products and technologies which constitute start-up ecosystem. The role played by entrepreneurs in boosting economic growth and employment generation is very important. The main purpose of the study is to analyze the prospects and challenges of start-ups in Kerala with special reference to those registered under Kerala Start-up Mission. The researcher explores the pertinent issues relating to the start-ups and their influence on the performance of start-ups which provide fresh insights about the functioning of start-ups in Kerala in general and those registered under KSUM in particular. Using SPSS analysis, this study analyzed the factors influencing the scalability and sustainability of start-ups and unveiled the fact that start-ups have a favorable environment in Kerala.
