Abstract
The purpose of the study was to examine the self esteem and self concept among male and female high school Students. For the present study 80 high school Students were selected from Jalna city. The effective sample consisted of 80 subjects, out of which 40 subjects were male and 40 subjects were female. The age range of subjects where 13-17 years (M = 15.48, SD = 3.66). Hypothesis 1. There will be significant difference between male and female high school Students with respect to self esteem. 2. There will be significant difference between male and female high school Students with respect to self concept. Self Esteem Inventory: is developed and standardized by M S Prasad and G P Thakur for measuring self esteem. And self concept scale was constructed and standardize by Dr. Raj Kumar Saraswat. The inventory is useful in measuring Self-concept in six areas, namely Physical, Social, Temperamental, Educational, Moral and Intellectual. Conclusions 1.
