Abstract
This study suggested that there is an association between diabetes and risk of infections in urinary tract. We diagnosed UTIs in the diabetic patients and also isolated, identified and analyzed the susceptibility of UTI causing bacteria against various antibiotics. Overall 320 patients were diagnosed, 142 (44.4%) were found diabetic and 178 (55.6%) were non-diabetic. Bacteriuria was found in 148 (46.25%) patients out of 320 samples.
