Abstract

The study presented aims to highlight the importance of online environmental reporting and to compare the level of environmental commitment in the Indian hotel market between selected international and national hotel companies. Design/methodology/approach: All the hotel companies in the sample were selected based on implementing at least a minimum level of environmental management in their operations and posting information related to these initiatives on their web pages. This study has utilized the content analysis method to analyze the disseminated environmental information on hotel companies’ websites.
