Abstract

Among the various technologies that are constructing its pillars deep in the field of engineering, there come the ad-hoc networks. The ad- hoc network can be mobile and wireless network. The devices in ad-hoc networks have connection without any central co-coordinator. Ad-hoc networks are divided into two types’ i.e. Mobile ad-hoc networks and Vehicular ad-hoc networks.VANET is the most popular network now days. To increase the efficiency of VANET the work is majorly stressed upon clustering techniques in VANET, as clustering technique ensures higher mobility and stability. Also, the clustering uncomplicated the issues of vehicular nodes by selecting the fittest Cluster Head on the bases of various parameters such as mobility metrics, relative velocity, relative distance or cluster member lifetime etc.
