Optimization of Barbaloin Extraction Fromaloe Veraleaf Skin By Adaptive Neuro-Fuzzy Interface System, Support Vector Regression, Response Surface Methodology

Abstract

Aloe vera, an aurvedic medicinal plants are rich source of barbaloin. The yield of barbaloin from Aloe vera leaf is dependent upon various extraction parameters. In this work, we have deployed various optimization methods such as: response surface methodology (RSM), radial basis function (RBF) based support vector regression and adaptive network-based fuzzy inference system (ANFIS) to optimize various extraction parameters to maximize the yield of barbaloin from Aloe vera leaf.
