Abstract
This work demonstrates a valuable technique to design linear phase Finite Impulse Response filter by employing genetic algorithm and BAT algorithm. Classical gradient based method is not efficient approach in accurate design of filters. Evolutionary approach is a better choice. In this paper MATLAB tool has been used to compare and analyze the FIR filter by using GA and BAT algorithm. Results using BAT algorithm have been found better than genetic algorithm.
