Abstract

The aim of this research is to study the relationship of life satisfaction, work-life balance and work motivation among teachers. The term life satisfaction refers to an individual’s personal judgment of wellbeing and quality of life based on his or her own chosen criteria. It is an assessment of the overall conditions of existence as derived from a comparison of one’s aspiration to one’s actual achievements. Work–life balance is ‘satisfaction and good functioning at work and at home with a minimum of role conflict’ and Work motivation is a set of energetic forces that originate both within as well as beyond an individual’s being, to initiate work-related behaviour, and to determine its form, direction, intensity, and duration. Teachers face many problems in daily life other than just students issues, thus life satisfaction is also affected. The sample for this study included 80 participants (teachers) between the age group of 25-35 years of age, minimum 5 years of experience, and from Pune city.
