Abstract

Human Resource Management is defined as the formal system formulated for managing people within an organization. The roles and responsibility of the HR manager falls under three broad areas, namely staffing; defining/ designing work and employee compensation & benefits. A firm’s success depends on the capabilities of its members, i.e., its human resources. In short, human resources are the life blood of any organisation. Despite of the growth of technology in business organization, human resources plays a significant role. This paper is an attempt to study the recent trend in HRM and the challenges faced by the business organizations.
