Abstract
Africa is commonly called as Dark Continent because it is least underdeveloped Continent. It came under colonial rule for many centuries . But it is rich in its culture , Tradition Natural Beauty customs Oral literature etc etc. In this Article I will highlight how Ngugi has successfully succeeded In highlighting these valuable values of its mainland in his Fiction how these folk tales have provided helpful bits of knowledge for present day literature . After remaining under colonial Power for many centuries Ngugi has highlighted how Africa has Succeeded in retaining it's old way of life like oral literature folk literature genres of oral literature African Orature culture tradition customs Epics etc and how these values have transmitted unreservedly. How these Local ways of life folk tales Stories of legends have helped the Common Uneducated Masses to defend themselves from This powerful colonial power and to retain their local Identity
