Abstract

The present research work aims to control black scurf disease by various methodological approaches. Control measures viz. extracts of medicinal plants, chemicals and bio control fungal agents was investigated. The significance of this research work is to analyze and find the effective control measures to reduce the effect of Rhizoctonia. Phytochemical extracts from the leaves of medicinal plants control the fungus at 100ppm and 200ppm effectively under in vitro conditions. Copper sulphate and Potassium dihydrogen phosphate showed antifungal activity was effectively at 1% and 0.9%. Antagonistic activity of two fungus Aspergillus nigerand Aspergillusnidulanswas positive over the Rhizoctonia solani.
