Abstract
The area of soft computing offers numerous techniques for modelling and providing a solution to real world problems that are complex. It deals with the problems whose solution cannot be derived easily. It is used in various areas of engineering computing and scientific research. In biological and agriculture engineering, engineers and researchers developed a method of genetic algorithms, artificial intelligence, neural networks, decision tree and support vector machines. All of these techniques are used for water and soil regimes in relation to growth of crop and for analyzation of food processing operation. In this research work, various applications
of soft computing in the area of agriculture is represented especially in water and soil context in decision support system in agriculture.
