Abstract

Human civilizations survive on two most essential things i.e. Knowledge and Energy. In search of energy, humans gain knowledge from experience learning, gathering information from others and then analyzing outcomes.  Information is an important asset for working on various real-life applications, such as credit scoring for banks, website optimization, to improve user interface, its experience and for card fraud detection, etc. With the rise in data mining technologies, there is serious risk for security of individual venerable information. The privacy risk which gets introduced during operations such as data collection, publishing and information delivering could be reduced using privacy-preserving data mining ayielding area of research. Here, the paper discusses data mining application and security issues with data mining algorithms.
