Abstract
Sensor network’s operating scenario makes them susceptible to various catastrophic events which can then led to simultaneous failure of a plethora of nodes deployed in a particular geography. After recovering from any such event a resultant topology of the network is generally unstable and contains various fragments which are linked by a single or few bridge nodes which have gate nodes on a far side and fan out nodes on a near side of the sink. These significant nodes are prone to failure while bearing high load, because of a significant link position they have in the resultant operative scenario.
