Abstract
Virtualization enables the heterogeneous architecture deployment on the same hardware with an abstraction of software and hardware resources. In virtualization, the essential components are hypervisors, virtual machines, and virtual network. Virtualization-based application is increased in a great amount from the past decade. It is a key to enable cloud computing for the illusion of unlimited resources. However, the vulnerabilities in this technology affect the confidentiality, availability, and integrity of the cloud services and resources. National Vulnerability Database (NVD) recorded many vulnerabilities related to VMware, Qemu and Xen. Kaspersky Lab described that the cost to overcome the attack become double if it affects the virtual infrastructure.
