Abstract
DES is considered insecure because many different attacks are possible in it. For the encryption of electronic data, we use the Data Encryption Standard which is symmetric-key algorithm. The two basic facts of current day data encryption are authentication and data privacy. As modern society is now becoming more connected day by day, so large amount of information is under threat. Therefore, there is a need for protection which brings data secrecy and data integrity.
