Abstract
Submerged arc welding is a generally utilized modern welding process. Welding transition assumes a significant job (about half) towards complete welding cost in SAW. Other than financial aspects thought, flux utilization impacts the pick or loss of alloying components by weld metal, subsequently the mechanical and metallurgical properties likewise influenced. It will be beneficial if we utilize some streamlined parameters of welding procedure to diminish the flux utilization and to control the mechanical and metallurgical properties of weld metal. Current work is attempting to refine welding parameters so as to control flux utilization as itplays a key job in decreasing the cost of welding. Four welding parameters have been analyzed that significantly affect flux utilization. From information produced utilizing two level factorial plan, a scientific model was made. Furthermore, flux utilization was diminished as the welding current and travel rate were increased.
