Abstract
The purpose of this article is to present the sorrows and sufferings, self sacrificing, suppression and oppression and helplessness of Indian women. This is the tradition of society that women should be timid and submissive. They have to face various harsh realities of life in order to adjust themselves in male dominated society. Women were not supposed to raise voices for their rights and protest against injustice. They have to exist only according to the wishes of patriarchal society.
