Abstract

In India, the main composition of bricks is clay, and bricks are generally produced in traditional, unorganized small-scale industries. Bricks as a material are of great significance in developing countries. It is estimated that India has over 100 thousand brick kilns producing around 250 billion bricks annually, consuming about 350 lakh tons of coal annually and  generating employment for  about 15 million workers . The study deals with the advancement of the brick kilns without increasing the cost substantially and eliminating all the major causes that stop the continuous burning of the brick kiln. The proposed idea enables the production company to produce 35- 40 % more bricks and to increase the profit 30-35 % without any addition of automated systems that are used in foreign countries and taking care of all the environmental related issues due to the operation ability of brick kilns. In addition to traditional brick kilns, upgradations of some elements are also put forward, like provisions of shades may also protect the main kiln area from rain and dew, the introduction of ploy houses into brick kilns is also included, whose principal is inspired from the one which is used in agricultural industries.
