Abstract
The Tamil Nadu state has a great history of wise political leaders by his innovative formulas and implementation. On the great path Villupuram district consisted several leaders in political phenomenon. Perhaps, Dr.K.Ponmudy became the wise personality who has implemented innovative schemes on his era. Dr.K.Ponmudy contested election on 2006 at Villupuram constituency, he got more votes and succeeded, the DMK Party selected as minister of higher education. During his ministerial service the higher education department is golden period, after long gap, Dr.K.Ponmudy ordered for recruited the college teachers in the year of 2007, 2008, (back lock vacancy) 2009 and 2011.Tamil Nadu, a state form India always leading the forefront in history of literacy perspective. Perhaps, Tamil Nadu have a high literacy accompanied with the achievement other state like Kerala and Maharastra. Perhaps, the eminent, scholarly political leaders to seated on the minstrel service in the Higher education. On the great phenomenon, Dr,ponmudi was the progenitor in the higher education department. He had been implemented several innovative schemes to implemented pleasant way to enhance the higher education over his period. Without any doubt his needful service which helpful for emergence of the higher education department into high esteem. This study mainly focused on the schemes which enhance the higher education on Dr.Ponmudi period.
