Abstract
Mimosa pudica is the creeping annual or perennial flowering plant belong to the family Mimosaceae and usually called as chui-mui or touch me not. There are several pharmacological properties of this plan, which is listed in the Ayurveda. Almost all parts of the plant such as root, leaf, stem and flower have its own activities like, in diabetes, urinary tract infection and ulcerative colitis. Some activities of M. pudicaplant are proved by patent such as enhancement of collagen level of skin and in the management of rheumatoid arthritis. Phenolic extract of the root part of the plant is used with cosmetics preparations to increase the skin collagen level. This reviewdemonstrates the patented pharmacological studies along with the various phytoconstituents present in the plant.
