Abstract
In August 1947, India and Pakistan gained their independence. But Jammu and Kashmir didn’t get independence from India and Pakistan. The founder of Jammu and Kashmir Maharaja Hari Singh signed permanent agreement with Pakistan ,but with India declined to sign the agreement. In Oct 1947, Muhammad Ali Jinnah sent Pakistani Muslims to attack Maharaja Hari Singh and the people of J and K. For safety of his state Maharaja Hari Singh choose the agreement with J and K to India and that’s how article 370 was incorporated.
