Abstract
The study was conducted on 32 staff nurses of Civil Hospital, Ludhiana. The result of the present study had been discussed in accordance with the aim of the study. It was an evaluatory study in which the knowledge attitude and practices were assessed for needle stick injury by the researchers. All the subjects were from the civil hospital Ludhiana. All the subjects were experienced with all having a minimum of 4 years’ experience. It had been analysed that majority 16 (50%) of the subjects were of age group of 40-49 Years, followed by 55-59 years 6 (18.75%). The number of subjects in the age group of 25-29 years was 4 (12.5%) all the subjects were females. The nursing staffs of all the wards were involved in the study. The educational qualification of 29 (90.62%) subjects was GNM and there were only 3 subjects with baccalaureate degree in nursing.
