Abstract

In this research paper, performance analysis of different modelling characteristics using Long Period Fiber Grating (LPFG) is performed. Different parameters such as cladding effective index, core effective index, coupled mode theory, coupling coefficient and transmission spectrum of Long period Fiber grating are calculated and analyzed. The Proposed modeling aspects based on Triple layer geometry is compared with the existing double layer modelling of LPFG. The double layer geometry is very simple, but suffers from the weakly guided approximation whereas this triple layer geometry is very complicated and problematic but very accurate results are obtained for hypothetical understanding of Long Period Fiber Grating. All the results obtained are simulated using MATLAB.
