Abstract

The present study attempts to analyse the role of demographic profile to evaluate the service quality of police in Punjab. The study used the exploratory cum descriptive research design. Null Hypothesis is there is no significant difference among public with different occupations regarding expectations of service quality provided by Punjab Police. A total sample of 400 respondents has been taken from the entire state of Punjab with 100 respondents from each zone, but only 382 responses collected. The data collected through questionnaire and analysed with the help of SPSS package. Collected data used the statistical tool like Factor Analysis and ANOVA, t-test. The study found that there is no significant difference among public with different occupations regarding expectations (tangibles, reliability, responsiveness and empathy) of service quality provided by Punjab Police. Whereas there is significant difference among public with different occupations regarding expectations (assurance) of service quality provided by Punjab Police.
