Abstract

Now days, it is very much essential for banks to consider the use of technology for their day to day activities and services provided to customers.  While availing online banking services people need not go to banks and not wasting their time, energy and money. So most of the customers using online banking services to done through their banking transactions. So here an attempt has been made to study the customers’ perception towards online banking in Tenkasi district. Identify the Online Banking services used by the customers, examining the factors influencing the customers towards Online Banking services and to study the level of satisfaction of customers towards online Banking services are the major objectives covered under the study.  Both primary and secondary was used for the purpose of the study.  The primary data were collected directly from the respondents by using pre structured interview schedule and the secondary data have been collected from books, journals, articles, and internet. To analyze the data collected from the respondents Hendry Garrett Ranking Method and percentage analysis were used. The major findings are , the customers prefer online banking services because of less physical tiredness, easy access and lower cost, most of the customers are satisfied with safety, security, reliability, convenience.  But still there are customers not fully using online banking services so banks needs to consider and make the customers for effective use of online banking.
