Abstract

India and United Arab Emirates (UAE) currently share robust ties of an acquaintance whose origins can be traced to the Ages old cultural, religious and economic interaction between the two regions. Since 3000 BC both the regions have been sharing a robust and compact relationship. The bond between the two countries has got impetus from time to time because both the countries exhibited their willingness to develop relations. This impetus came from both the countries' willingness to cooperate through investment, labour, expertise, policies, ease of bilateral dialogues and the desire for agreement and implementation. Particularly after Bhartiya Janata Party's 2014 election victory, the relations between the two countries have taken a new turn. The Prime Minister Narendra Modi headed Bhartiya Janata Party Government choose the United Arab Emirates as its preferred partner in the Gulf region. The present paper attempts to look into the strategic relations between India and UAE after Bhartiya Janata Party Came into power in 2014. It also attempts to explore the prospects and challenges to Indo-UAE relationship. The paper is qualitative in nature and has used secondary sources of data. The paper concludes that the relationship between India and UAE has developed and transformed over the years into a comprehensive strategic partnership as both countries are exploring the more in-depth cooperation in different areas. And the future of Indo-UAE relationship seems very bright and shining.
