Abstract

Background: Organ donation is the practice when a person agrees an organ of their own to be detached and transplanted to a new person, legally, either by mutual understanding while the donor is alive or dead with the consent of the next of kin. Donation of organs is an essential element of transplantation. One of the major issues contributing to the paucity of organs is because of public attributes such as myths, religious misconceptions, and misunderstood decrees. Many previous studies have indicated that knowledge and attitude play a significant role in rates of organ donation.
