Abstract

Apart from several other things what matters most in the poetry of Toru Dutt is her close association with nature which reminds us of the great doyens of Romantic School of Poetry especially William Wordsworth and John Keatss. A close textual analysis of her various poems shows that she has mostly dwelt upon the theme of natural scenes and sights. Like William Wordsworth she also seems to have an innate sense of close conformity with nature.
