Abstract
The article aims at providing clarity on some selected concepts such as Indexing that includes the history of Indexing, it’s beginning and how it all started , its concept as well as its practice. Indexing Agencies and their evaluation policies have been discussed where a few negatives and common features are pointed out. Indexing Parameters and their methods of calculation. The indexing parameters comes with advantages and disadvantages which may or may not be agreeable to some portion of people. A new parameter is also proposed and its potentiality is discussed. Review Methods is also been discussed along with the companies that were formed by collaborations. Last but not the least, the concept of Open Journals and repositories is analyzed
