Abstract
The Indian Constitution sets out the structure on which the country is governed. The Constitution of India proclaims India as “sovereign”, “socialist”, “democratic republic”, guaranteeing the citizens of the country of equity, justice and liberty. The Constituent Assembly of India regulated passed the Indian Constitution on “November 26, 1949”, and became effective on January 26, 1950. India observes “January 26 every year as Republic Day”. The Constitution of India is regarded as the “longest written constitution” of any autonomous nation out of all the countries, containing 395 articles and 12 schedules, just as various amendments, for an aggregate of 117,369 words in the English language rendition. Other than the English variant, there is an official Hindi interpretation. The Constitution is better than every single other law of the nation. Each law authorized by the legislature must be in congruity with the Constitution.
