Abstract

Computer-aided instruction (CAI), is a program of teaching materials presented through a computer or computer system.

The use of computers in education began in the 1960s. With the advent of convenient microcomputers in the 1970s, computer use in schools has spread from primary education to universities and even some preschool programs. The teaching computer is basically used in one of two ways: either to provide a direct data representation or to fill a teaching role, and the student tests it in understanding.
