Abstract
This study aims to understand the availability of employee welfare activities in Indian banking industry. Social and legal obligation made it mandatory for every organisation to provide some minimum as well few extra activities related to welfare of employees. Recent reports and available literature review already suggested the less researched area of this subject in service sector industry. With sample size of 518 banking employees this study focussed on to determine the prevailing determinant as well as employee’s opinion related to availability of welfare activities in banking sectors. Applying factor analysis and descriptive technique it was found out that 9 factors exist in banking industry. Results of descriptive analysis show that most of the employees agree with the availability of employee welfare activities at workplace.
