Abstract

Human resource is considered to be a decisive factor in the organization's developments. Now a day’s organizations have started realizing that human resources are the most important of all assets based on the emerging values of humanization. The achievement of any organizations, firms, and businesses in the long term depends on human resources. The study proposed to find out whether the HRM Practices towards the organizational commitment among the employees of select private Sector insurers in Chennai City. The total sample size of the study is 381. The study used both primary and secondary data to attain the objectives of the study. The study results reveal that Human Resource Management Practices factors namely Compensation and Reward, Performance appraisal, and Training Development do not influence the organizational commitment among the employees in private sector life insurance companies in Chennai city.
