Abstract

E-commerce (electronic commerce) came up with a platform that made trade happen in digital form. The transactions (buying and selling of goods and services) here, take place online. From buying home appliances to buying food to apparels, people started shifting to ecommerce gradually. E-commerce actually took over the market from traditional shopping. Slowly with smartphones and wireless internet or mobile internet coming into the picture, the birth of M-commerce happened. M-commerce that is Mobile commerce enables people access online E-commerce portals on mobile devices which has been highly used by people. Also there are various reasons for consumers to behave in a certain manner or to accept or not accept anything in the market being offered to them. This study is to find out the online buying pattern of consumers in Mumbai.
