Abstract

Socio-economic status is the foremost issue in the contemporary world especially in the developing world. The economic development of farmers depends on their living standard and socio-economic conditions. The socio-economic characteristics pertaining to demography, means of production, income and expenditure pattern etc. strongly influence their living standard and participation in development schemes. The present study was undertaken in Karode village of Thiruvananthapuram district.
