Abstract

Draft of National Educational Policy- 2019 was submitted to Mr. Prakash Jawedekar, minister of Human Resource Development, Government of India on December 15, 2018. This draft lays the foundation of how various subjects may grow in the upcoming future. The present draft has specifically described the roles and professional expectations from a ‘counsellor’. This article is expected to help psychology students, academicians and other academic policy makers to understand the government’s expectations from the psychologist who are expected to work in educational institutions.
